Tf2 Engine Error

Recommended Posts

After the hatless update today i've been getting

"Engine Error : Could not load library client"

Fakayu valve

1. Verfiy game cache files\ Defragment data.

2. Try to copy all your tf folder data and delete the tf folder and run the game if the game runs it will create a fresh copy of tf folder.

3. Delete "clientregistry.blob" and restart steam.

anyway

there's been an update out thats suppose to fix it.

restart your steam if you've not got it.

Source Engine Changes (CS:S, DoD:S, TF2, HL2 DM)

Fixed a startup crash for some users who were unable to load client.dll

Fixed a "status" command regression in the dedicated server consol.

:) .

happens for all custom hud users.

1. delete resources and scripts folder

2. delete folder with P-REC installed in it (addons most probably)

3. reinstall custom HUD (only oxide's and pvhud is updated)*

*note: reinstall meaning download from the original website again, not the file you previously downloaded to install.

I deleted my tf folder, defragged, viewed the integrity of the cache files, but it didn't work, Lid re-dled the whole thing (CGF files) but that didn't work LOL.

But anyways i think the patch today should have fixed it, thanks for the suggestions! :)
