It is with great sadness today that the AsiaFortress Administrators are announcing that player 26 of team GlobalClan XIAO has been caught red-handed on a smurf account used to play in AsiaFortress matches.

This is the 6th AsiaFortress player that has been caught in the act of smurfing in recent history. As such, the AsiaFortress Administrators have decided to take more drastic measures to curb the smurfing problem in future seasons of the league.

26 is well known for playing the Pocket Soldier role on GlobalClan XIAO, the greatest AsiaFortress team of all time. While a well-respected and competent player, his actions cannot go unpunished,  lest he continue to taint the future generations of AsiaFortress with his influence.

Thus, he shall be exiled to a new, separate division in AsiaFortress know as the Smurf Division. In light of his achievements as a well-decorated Team Fortress 2 player, 26 shall be granted the eternal punishment as the King of the Smurfs, governing this newly crowned AsiaFortress division.

From AsiaFortress Cup 20, players caught using smurf accounts will be banished forever to The Land of the Smurfs, where only the horrors of competitive 6s await. Pyros to mid, no weapon restrictions, and of course, the map pool. The Land of the Smurfs hates fun, and only the least fun of the tried and tested Team Fortress 2 maps are played there. cp_propaganda, cp_badlands, cp_granary, you name it. Whether you're perpetually playing on 30 frames, stuck on last for 30 minutes, or getting hit by 30 projectiles all at the same time, The Land of the Smurfs surely has something, to ruin your fun.

The AsiaFortress Administrators would like to remind everyone to participate in fair competition, to ensure that the game remains fun for everyone. We hope that these new measures put in place will deter the use of smurf accounts across the league.

[Rules] [Unlocks] [Division Administrators] [Key Dates and Map Pool]

Hey everyone, it has been made known to AsiaFortress Administrators that well-known modifications of the HUD to gain in-game advantages have recently resurfaced. Heading into playoffs, the AsiaFortress Administrators would like to remind everyone that the sniper scope removal, and other HUD modifications of that nature are strictly prohibited. Players caught using these modifications to obtain unfair advantages will receive appropriate punishments.

    AsiaFortress Cup 19

[Rules] [Unlocks] [Division Administrators] [Key Dates and Map Pool]

Hey everyone, due to some administrative errors on our end during seeding, team no one down was incorrectly placed in Division 1. This decision has since been altered, with the team being placed in Division 2 instead. However, because of this, there are some scheduling changes that have to be made to accommodate the moving.

    Division 1

Division 1 will now be played in an 8-week round robin format, with each of the five teams facing each other twice. The maps for the final 8th week will be decided through a pick-ban format. This change primarily affects Division 1, and the Key Dates and Map Pool have been updated to reflect this.

We apologise if this has caused any unneeded confusion or inconvenience and seek the understanding of all players involved.

    AsiaFortress Cup 19

[Rules] [Unlocks] [Division Administrators] [Key Dates and Map Pool]

Division Allocations for AsiaFortress Cup 19 have been released! You may confirm the division that your team has been placed in on match.tf. Due to the signup numbers, we were unable to accommodate a Division 4 this season.

Some final notes to take into account before the season officially starts tomorrow include the following:

Small adjustment in playoffs Pick-Ban format

Because of AsiaFortress Cup 19's larger map pool, we have modified the way in which playoff teams pick and ban maps to play. Notably, an additional ban wave is added before teams alternate picks. An example of what this new format looks like is shown below:

    1. Home Team banned cp_badlands
    2. Away Team banned cp_gullywash_final1
    3. Away Team picked cp_process_final
    4. Home Team picked koth_product
    5. Home Team banned cp_snakewater_final1
    6. Away Team banned cp_reckoner
    7. Home Team picked koth_clearcut
    8. Away Team picked cp_propaganda_b14
    9. Away Team picked cp_granary_pro

8 and 9 only apply to BO5 series

As always, the order in which teams pick and ban maps will be clearly stated on the match.tf thread when the playoffs come around.

    Division 1 Map Cycle

Due to Division 1 having only 6 teams, each map in the 10-map pool will only be played once, with matchups going in a round-robin format. Teams in the division are to take note of the altered schedule on the Key Dates and Map Pool thread
