I've always wondered, why is it called Mercenaries Cup?
As in, TF2 classes are mercenaries or something?

Its the Mercs Cup because in the original incarnation there was no team directory implemented, you could take whoever the fuck you wanted into battle not necessarily from your team, hence, a team of mercs.
