WebChat: http://irc2go.com/webchat/?net=GameSurge&room=asiafortress HOW TO USE mIRC - Download mIRC Install Setup -> Option -> Under Connect: Fill in the banks "Fullname, email address, nickname" Pic -> Under Server: Servers: Scroll to Gamesurge folder and click "select", if it isn't found, just manually add it with the below info Pic Description: Gamesurge IRC Server: irc.gamesurge.net Port: 6667 Once done, go back to Connect tab, it should show "Gamesurge: Random server @ the server line. Xilver 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2010 why use IRC when you have steam group chat? just go to the asiafortress group and click join chat. how many times have u seen people actually start steam group chat? mIRC is more of place to be whenever you're not in-game, accompanied by others who are either in-game/idle/masturbating to spammah's face, whatever. mumble would be the other thing, "we got mumble. fuck mirc" The whole idea of this mIRC is to actually find out, if whether people are willing to take this small effort to build this community. mIRC is definitely a much more efficient tool than Steam chat system. I don't think mIRC takes much of effort and time really. the main goal for mIRC is to build a hub/portal for this community, hopefully if successful, in a significant size of people, implementation of ozfortress pug system would be considered. those that are unsure of how mirc works, can approach OPerators(names with @s infront) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Xilver 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2010 Download mIRC Install Setup mIRC Options > Connect > Servers > Add Description: Gamesurge IRC Server: irc.gamesurge.net Port: 6667 DONE Under mIRC Options > Connect Fill in the necessary spaces and connect. Make sure the server is Gamesurge(the description) you've given when you added the server It should look something like "Server: Gamesurge" at the bottom of the "invisible mode" tickbox. type /join #asiafortress or /j asiafortress in the chatbox when you've successfully connected Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
