Wouldn't a LAN based competition reduced the player size based on the current population, also that would requires more cost, manpower and planning for the organizer(s).

The main concern currently is mainly the number of teams participating.

Maybe when there's enough player/team based in the local community, a LAN competition maybe possible, of course, that would mean better prizes too.

Most probably be using the single/double elimination format. I think a short and fast format is better since dragging it out causes alot of problems.

The organizer(s) feels that if there's enough teams interested to join the event, in the month of May would probably the fastest time whereby the event can take place.

The main idea behind this particular tournament is to generate more interest among the local players on regards to the competitive side of the game, hoping the community will grow with the help of such competitions.

PS: A LAN server is much easier to handle as to compared to a online server

How many teams would be interested to join an online 6v6 TF2 competition with a sign up fee of $2/player. (6 per team)

The top 3 teams would win cash prizes of $100' date=' $60 & $40 respectively.

An estimation of 8 teams is required in order to get this party going.

[/quote']

I just realised something....

Assuming 6 a team, $12 per team with a estimation of only 8 teams... A collection of $96 and there's a $200 total payout as prizes..?
