I do agree that on a standard LCD of late that 75 hz is most definitely a common standard and was referring to the context in which should he obtain a monitor then of course 120 would be used. Yes, it is indeed application controlled however I quote chris on this launch option: The frequency used is, by default, the same as used at the desktop. Heya blur Well to begin with hitreg is to do with your net settings so if you already have been using a config that works for you and have a stable connection then there's nothing you really will need to change there. (The monitor will be displaying your game differently but this has nothing to do directly with hitreg, more of your 'perception' of hitreg so to speak) You will however notice now that you are seeing more frames is that some models/enemies seem to used to have moved smoothly but now do their scout jumps and the like with small little warps, this is easily sorted by raising your interp a few noches to produce a smoothed over model (though not as perfectly accurate to the server). fps_max is a preference and there's no real reason to set it to any value unless you're attempting to stop your cpu from doing too much work and wanna watch the temps. Spammah is knowledgable to note the freq/refresh launch option but that's kind of incorrect (no offense spammah ) because 1) The command he has chosen to set to 75hz which is not the frequency you will be using (120 innit? ) 2) The command is actually benign as TF2 will automatically use the highest refresh rate supported by your monitor at intended resolution provided your graphics card options have not said otherwise.     Get in, Frag or get fragged, you will definitely learn long the way. MGE is a nice extra to supplement DM but in the past before it existed players got good how? by simply playing the game of course ^^
  6. It is indeed a bug with Nvidia graphics drivers, it effects dx 9 mainly not 8 though if I'm not mistaken. The fix is simply to revert to a older driver, specifically 306.97 is one of the compatible drivers without the flickering objects mate. This is of course only valid if you are using an nvidia graphics card. If you updated the driver and this problem is only recent though head to the device manager, right click the graphics display device and head to properties, from there you should find a rollback option, works just as well.

    Just a note that this plugin breaks voicechat and also the ability to hear other peeps using in-game voice since last couple of updates. There is a cfg by zen that does fix this regardless.

    Any Scout tips?

    This may sound slightly generic but I always found that tr_walkway with aim type specific warmups are helpful(Don't bother adding strafe to the bot the movement is not natural), Circle strafe a bot while keeping your pistol fully on target and after that tires you switch on the launchpad with random power and repeat the same deal. Then repeat the exercise for snap/twitch aim where you center your crosshair without moving your scout then flick at the incoming bots before returning to original position. Snapping to your target then tracing is also valid. The exercises are valid with launchpad on or off as long as tracing and twitch are both practiced. I also know some people that practice this with host_timescale 1.5 This is of course second to SOAP and other things. Just my 2 scrap, I'm not too experienced in this field :3

    Remove dxlevel launch option after use to maintain the ability to alt-tab/minimize. (however mumble will break) Remove mat_antialias command after use to prevent the game menus from bugging out when needing to display a character model (eg item loadouts, class selectionetc)

  21. Oh well HELL That's loads easier then switching between HUDs in-game. I'll work on it buddy. Technically all HUDs allow custom files, it's just that PVHUD gives you a GUI to do it. @Hacka What say if I tried to re add the class you are playing as above say the number of HP you have left. since when it shows the class it shows your team colour as well? e.g. You play as scout, pic of red scout above your health. EDIT: Just finished it, I'm in college right now though so I haven't managed to test it. If it works I'll put it up here by today.
  22. Just a quick check up though. Which aspect of both HUDS do you like? It's possible to merge the 2 and pick features to your liking rather then start with this cross HUD script. Would seem easier. And thx for the support Darkie. Know any scripting yourself btw?
  23. I think... I might give it a shot. I understand how Broesel's works but now I need a way to activate the switch. Broesel's uses a script through the menu during pause, it won't be automatic but it's still a good solution.
