Back when i used B4nny i kept getting accused of being his fanboy which i find disgusting and i then changed my name... Everytime i entered a lobby server i'd see "fake B4nny what a noob" =(

    Concerns about attitudes of players

There are the newbies that show remorse and acknowledge that they are new and want to get better- And then we have these really arrogant newbies with horrid in-game etiquette and don't mind ruining games *cough Sud always snipes cough*

    Lobby server setups?

we've tried it before and it's fucking awful iirc. It's already so hard getting players to download new maps/irc and the lobby system was no diff. One of the biggest obstacles at that point in time was that when a player disconnected, it was really tough to get a sub for him, and most games ended up 5v6. That being said, lobby has a really neat stat-tracking system

Fixed the crashes with dx 9. Feels weird when everything's so shiny and good looking though... Best is when your game looks like tetris-fortress
  10. Tyrone's a good pocket but lacks the dm needed for invite level play, whilst focusing heals on your team's demo against teams with strong scouts just won't work

So you've been playing on dxlevel 9 i suppose? Most of the threads in steam forums have mentioned that as well... but some of the players on dx8 seem to not be having any issues

Badly, i get very sore when i lose... If you're referring to on a team basis, it depends on how badly they play and who the opponent was. I wouldn't rage at them if they lost to a tier 1 team as compared to a tier 2 one. Most important is to iron out the reason we lost, and how we can improve next game. But It's pretty much off-season now so motivation to improve isin't really there..

I used to main soldier from early 2010 - mid 2011. I switched to demo when Mr Dovoson went MIA for the 5th time, and at that point there were very few high tier demos so i decided to just learn the class myself... And i love playing scout! Though i can't aim very well scout gets to do the most exciting (and usually gamebreaking) stuff. As for the pgtf2 people... i'm not sure since kig and farns won't be around. But i hope so!

Yoo sorry for the late replies. Crulz: Favorite demo? Hmm i don't follow the euro/NA scene until it's close to the LAN period, so i can't say for sure who it is. However i think b4nny is overrated as compared to platinum, who is so much more consistent with his stickies although he has fewer "wow" moments... b4nny's playstyle revolves a lot around being the core of the team, and he takes more heals and his team do more to let him survive, whereas plat is able to play off his team. I do follow the Aus scene though, and my favorite demo to watch is prime/yuki. Termo has wicked dm but he's too heal dependent. Anyway for the bbq a certain Teal didn't show up so we had 1 less girl, plus i barely talk to those girl pubbers so i can't invite them! Next BBQ will probably be in LATE JAN, so i'll promote it by saying Crulz will be serenading us all with his guitar skills obv: What condescending mr dancer

Got back early from work today~ Mame: In 5 years, i'll probably be in uni i think? Local or foreign i'm not too sure yet. As for gaming Idk man, I really enjoy gaming and i know quite a number of people with stable jobs and commitments but are still able to squeeze in gaming while making time for other things. Like Spammah would say it all boils down to time management and if you enjoy something you'll go through any means to make time for it.. I would probably slowly phase competitive tf2 out of my life and play games as a social thing. Cobalt: I find this hard to answer as there are so few teams in the scene now that i have a hard time gauging this. Personally i'd describe my playstyle as 20% aim, 40% teamwork and 40% positioning. Having good position is an automatic advantage especially as a demoman because you're able to survive easily with defensive stickies, or do massive followup damage during pushes. I try to take as little damage as possible (unless i have to help my teammates in better positions and can do more damage), and focus damaging targets according to the situation. I guess in general, it's about me being in the right places at the right time as a demo. Some general demoman tips: - NEVER die. Of course you will, but focus on minimizing deaths while helping your team dish out damage - Play behind the combo; AF has seen many "Pocket" demos over the seasons, and the disadvantage of this is that the team is severely deprived of heals. Learn the best places to position yourself so that you will not get flanked easily (or able to protect yourself), and either 1) Deny Area, 2) Air-det stickies, 3) Spam Pipes If there is a demand, i don't mind uploading some of my demos for interested players. Though i make stupid mistakes quite often, you guys can analyze what i did right or wrong, and if the outcome was positive, try and understand why it worked out. Nata: Next AF bbq, you come with a nicely wrapped 120hz monitor for me and then we'll be in business AGENT C: Stop pretending your phone ringing is the sound made by a washing machine

Ugh fucking long day at work... let's see now. Yukari: Of course it feels good winning the title, especially against a really strong team, but i still don't feel at ease because of the doubters saying stuff like "oh he joined lsd just for the glory..." and technically i only played in 3 matches, with one being a loss, and the other a draw. And i'm not that good at this game yet, though i know am once i get recognition from the fresh blood and foreigners. As for the community in general, sure we have more players now, but how many are actually interested in competitive tf2? IIRC there were at least 2 pugs and a full MGE server while the grand finals was ongoing, and we probably had like only 30+ specs tops? Really irks that there is a lack of interest from the members of the community, and there is little support for their fellow members. There just isin't the same hype and bonding as before. There is also an astounding lack of teams not just in the SG scene, but in most of Asia. Most of the top Kr players have entered army, the Japanese have only about 3 active teams, and SG only has 2 at the moment. The biggest reason for this is probably the lack of incentives for participating in competitions. Day after day, people just play mindless pugs and scrims but they do not receive anything in return... While on the topic, most new players are just happy playing amongst themselves, and for this reason alone i do not see most of them going far within the scene because there is no drive and passion to play the game well as compared to the days of V-Co etc. I'm fucking sleepy so i can't construct proper sentences and structure. Gema: Will quit when i have other priorities. I can stop this game anytime i want to when i have more important things to do, but after a long working day you can't expect me to like do something like go out or hit the gym when i reach home at 8+/9... And though i like reading too i much prefer playing Tf2 with my friends. Besides being a fun game, the people i play with make it all the more addictive.. Candice: Because Queensland was cold Cam: Biz park... CHICKEN CHOP ONLY WEDGES! And you've gotta by the drinks because they're cheap and the owners are so damn nice to you

Both had their good and bad points... Lid had solid aim but not enough experience, Aycan's shotgun does only 3 damage and he didn't like to talk LOL. Looking back to that point in time, we were new to the game with no knowledge on strats and different types of advantages and how to use them, and we won't most of our games solely on dm and having the basic knowledge of "GUYS MED DOWN PUSH NOWNOWNOWNWO" And to survive gran mid, just don't cluster behind the crates. Everyone must do their job to win the teamfight. Demo puts out enough damage at mid to prevent their combo from +fwding, scouts focus on tracking and poking whenever possible, but don't rush in stupidly for picks because they're not as expendable as people think they are (fastest speed, more cap speed, good vs soldiers and demos), Roaming Soldiers don't stay on the leftmost crate because that's where the spam usually comes in, and the opponent soldier would just bomb them. Either try working a pick off the scouts baiting, create opportunity early on with an aggro jump, or delay the jump to spam down onto the point. Pocket just follows up damage and protects the med from spam. Most important thing is to be able to adapt and find ways to get kills or advantages. Also press tab often...

SO MANY REPLIES: Wolfcape and Dov: WTF are u guys saying lol Obv: No, because you didn't manage to convince that shitty teacher of yours to let you guys perform in Dec Lexxy: I'm sad because i just went through the NS medical and i'm dreading actually going for the real thing. It's unnerving and you feel so small and forced to conform no matter how shitty they treat you... Kuma: After scrims, make it a point to find out what you did well or didn't do well, and talk about it before everyone just disappears. Another one of the things i've heard the most from better players is to watch their own demos and of others but if you find it to mundane, i guess watching competitive games and trying to understand their decisions would be good enough. Lastly i've heard countless times that MGE is useless but it really isin't. Tf2 is a game which requires you to kill people after all, and having good aim and survivability is always a good thing. Just don't forget that winning is a team effort and not play selfishly.
