thats the point where u will give new comers an illusion that: u can offclass as long as it works. so, what's the point of playing pugs? what pugs are intended(normally) is to provide a chance for ppl to practice the 4 most played classes (scout soldier demo medic), u may be a game changer after u went offclass that round, but at this point, have u ever thought that u ARE losing because u cant even get to a level where u at least master the basics of the 4 classes? if u hvnt, i doubt u shudgo offclass IN ORDER TO win that particular game. if u cant win without offclassing, pubs/mokee is where u belong

let me give u guys an example happened few days ago And and I(its not typo, im referring to my fellow Hongkie team mate And), happened to be in a pug in the afternoon/evening time, were playing badlands tgt with a well-known veteran k1infran. we 3 and Unker teejay happened to be picked in the same team and after the picking process, we all got our classes settled except for mr k1. as u all know, hes a beast scout so hes not so adapted to the class Pocket Soldier. AS the pug proceeded, he changed from the pocket soldier role to a pocket sniper, which of coz was doing absolutely nothing (i doubt if he did damage at mid) so at first we were all letting him be, but then we were starting to lose and shit, we started to throw out biting remarks on mr k1, hoping he'd do sth normal. yet hes totally ignoring them, and since Unker teejay and the other team mates started complaining, so me and And decided to have mr k1 kicked, and he didnt joined back the server after being kicked so i presume he knew what shit he had done which caused the kicking i'll put u thru my perspectives of an admin: 1. on one hand i dont wanna kick mr k1 coz hes my frd -i know he comes to pug to relax as the pug is of lower level -hes feeling bored because there are some new players on the other team/simply the team we r on is pretty stacked -he has confidence in his aim and believed he can perform as well as he is a soldier as a sniper 2. on the other hand i need to kick him coz -hes burdening my team -ignoring our suggestions -setting a bad example for the newbies HOW TO BE ADMIN? but in the end, I have And to do the kick process, so that we can ADMINISTRATE the situation and it wont harm my friendship with mr k1 that much(hopefully) VETERAN being KICKED due to OFFCLASSING, fk double standards guys ps. sorry mr k1 if u r reading this, we all still love u <3 but if u happened to be taking a few mentees pls (at least) be a role model urself IMO AND PLEASE LET THE OFFCLASSING SHIT STOP KTHXBAI

hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Asia Fortress Academy(AFA) is a session thing like a competitive tf2 SCHOOL, which u will have the opportunity to learn about the basic mechanics of your intended class (scout, soldier, demoman OR medic). as far as i have been informed, AFA will be conducted in 1. Q&A session, 2. match/6v6/try out session 1. Q&A session you will get to ask ur mentors anything u are unclear/u want to know, and ur mentors will try their best to clarify any uncertainty u have, so this is more of a theoretical class on basic gamesense and metagame 2. match/6v6/try out session you will be assigned to teams and get to play a pick up game (PUG), which u can finally test what u have learnt and put them into practise. mentors will be spectating at the same time providing critiques/suggestions/verbal abuse(joking) in the same mumble as you are, trying to get u improve this is different from wt u have mentioned 'low level pugs', as there will be mentors correcting ur mistakes and leading u, while the real 'low level pugs' may take place anytime, even a normal pug u see every day could be a low level pug so it really depends if u would like to test the water u are always welcomed to join any pugs that happen every day, mostly starting from evening till midnight, one way to improve urself is to spectate games and learn from players, if u dont get picked dont get discouraged, spectate and learn, what ppl did, why they did so, etc etc u are always welcomed to form ur own team/join any existing team and participate in the next AFC, yet if u are new to the asian scene, i would definitely recommend u to join our AFA first before u commit urself in any official competition, this is more likely to give u a higher chance in having a better performance in AFC, or even winning a prize ps. pls be more casual and dont reply like writing a letter hue
