Due to recent feedback of trolling / flaming incidents, we thought it would be best to lay down some ground rules for people to follow. We do appreciate that the users have to report trolls / flames so that moderators can take actions. If there are harmless trolls /spams / off-topic, we are willing to tolerate it so as long as there are no complaints.

 

Please give any suggestions or feedbacks for this list of rules, so we can keep improving the forums. We are also looking for volunteers to help with the development of Asiafortress for 2011. Please PM nnnata if you are interested.

 

 

The following actions are not condoned in asiafortress.com forums:

• Flaming or badgering -- writing hostile or insulting messages aimed at other users for their views or comments. You can disagree with someone's views and still be polite about it.
  
• Trolling -- posting controversial (sometimes off-topic) messages with the intent of baiting other users to reply.
  
• Spamming -- No advertisements, or referral links to other services.
  
• Any hateful material towards race, religion, sex, or any other offensive nature.
  
• Lewd or offensive content, or links to lewd or offensive content. Keep everything Safe for Work.
  
• Hijack a forum thread by changing the subject. If you want to change the subject, please start a new message thread.

Some points to take note on forum usage:

• Onus is on the victim to report if they have been trolled / spammed / flamed. One should not expect the moderators to be reading every single post.
  
• It is up to the discretion of the moderators to warn or ban users.
  
• For mild offenses, warnings will be given. After 3 warnings, or if a moderator deem appropriate, the account will be banned or suspended for a period of time.
  
• Banned users are allowed to create an alternate account. However, if the user repeats the above actions, they will be banned immediately without warning.
