  1. http://www.thegamesxpo.com/images/stories/banner.jpg[/img] Good news people! TF2 Masters 2011 will go on! The online tournament will kick start this weekend, which will lead up to the TF2 Masters Grand Finals at The Games Xpo 2011, Singapore (TGX'11) in September from the 9th to 11th. As 8 teams have shown their support for this event, every team will be rewarded with free Portal 2 games as token of appreciation from e-Club! All 8 teams have also been automatically qualified into the the LAN finals in September, and the online tournament's results will determine your seeding in the LAN playoffs. Please be prepared to play 2 matches a week for the online tournament and read the official rules beforehand to avoid any misunderstandings. To be eligible for the free hardcopies of Portal 2, teams must attend the TF2 Masters LAN event in September. Although we are very fortunate to have at least 8 teams participating, we do hope that the LAN event will be a fun and fulfilling event for everyone! So mark your calenders (and take your leaves) because $3500+ worth of prizes awaits you! Please go to http://leaderboard.e-clubmalaysia.com/tournaments_tf2_masters.php for more information and TF2 Masters rules. Important Any problems/questions, it would be better to email them directly about anything. The people in charge might or might not visit this site to read your queries or write a ticket over at support.e-clubmalaysia.com. Please do take note that Asiafortress.com is not an official medium of the TF2 Master's Cup run by e-Club malaysia and e-Sports Association Singapore and remains an independent site.

    RE: LAN

Wait... Who claimed to be the organisers?? I think all Nata did was give advice on how to run a tournament and all the brackets and registration and server configs. What part of the blame should go to Nata? The part where he helped? Benny is also quite poor thing... He was never involved in this shit until 1 day ago... LOL.. but his name keeps getting dragged in... I got trolled as well Ratsyc, perhaps when you have the time we should all gather in mumble for a meeting and discuss about it (if anyone still interested to), because I suspect different sides have different stories. I am going to clarify the story with the LAN shop tomorrow as well as check if we can still hold a mini LAN there for whoever that is still interested

    RE: LAN

Many admins here are noob tf2 players.. Acel Spammah Benny all very noob what as admins, we Monitor forums, attend meetings, set rules, organize events, delegate duties, write to other companies for sponships or other people to contribute etc... No real tf2 skills involved please signup to help our community

    RE: LAN

Uh I don't think Mas Selamat plays tf2 in his detention centre or browse our forums... With the same argument, anyone could go to anyone's Facebook and post their profile pics on the forums for others to troll.. Do we want our forums to be like that? If these people have no interest in making the game and forums fun, then as friends (wtftheyhavefriends?) we should encourage them to gtfo and mind their own business instead of having fun on the expense of others but we're not their parents, we just ban.

    RE: LAN

Sigh. I'm happy that our community isn't that petty to finger point at the bastard that pulled out less than a week before the tournament. I was pissed and annoyed. I'm puzzled why benny and nata got flamed. And of course, I'm even more curious as to why people want to post pictures of me to troll me. If what benny did was such an "unprofessional" thing to do, then the "professional" reply should be "benny you should remove the chat log". The unprofessional thing to do is to start hurling insults around - which was what our admins and players did. The irony is the people that did not sign up for the tournament made the most noise. If you wish to contribute to the community, I suggest a few things: 1. Volunteer as an admin. Admins from hcaz to acel to wish to madman to spammah... has all slowly gave up caring much because everything they do are always under appreciated. Why don't you try being an admin? 2. Sign up in LAN tournaments and events. Honestly I am not for admins that join asiafortress when they are not competitive players themselves. Perhaps we can let them be forum admins, that's about it. You need to be more involved in the community to really claim you are a stakeholder and that decisions made affects you directly. 3. Advice your friends not to troll or pour oil over fire or stir shit. I'm sure these trolls have problems in their real lives and they rather take it out anonymously to online people. Heck, we all have our own concerns in real life. I don't totally disagree with admins trolling back because that's the only form of communication the trolls are used to. If people like hanny, solaris and the others are kind enough to drop me a PM and let me know how I might have offended them, I can offer explanation and even apologize if I had did something against them personally. One time offer only

    RE: LAN

Eh please give credit where you got the picture from. www.deadpris.com thanks for giving me more traffic I'm not sure how I came into a target of trollers... but I'm sure it's got to do with helping to plan the tournament and contacting the LAN shop directly after some "individual" pull out of the tournament less than 1 week left to the tournament. I don't know why benny and nata are getting flamed (or why the fuck I'm getting flamed) but the fact is someone organized a tournament and pulled out at the last minute and the admins of asiafortress are getting flamed.... LOL! I've been very quietly monitoring flames targetted at me, seriously, my conscious is clear so I'm sorry if I have hurt anyone's feelings or broken any little boys hearts to warrant such trolls on me

    OUTDATED: The guide to pugging

I think the rule is depending on the intention of the player.... For example if I'm suppose to Medic in pickup and I go full time pyro instead Moreover, if you didn't piss anyone off playing those classes and no one reports you, then everything is fine

    LAN DATE

Uh... Many of us are working... Even for students, 27th June (Monday) is the 1st week of start of the term... so no one will be available on 29th weekday also... If the organizers can't arrange it on a weekday, then I don't think we can have enough turn out for a LAN tournament even...

    A little e-club issue.

Wow I think you have matured alot if you even bother to apologise to us As I have mentioned before.. if you feel you can help with the servers, you should contact the person being put in-charge of it... instead of declaring all that negative stuff in open forums. I suppose your intentions weren't bad, but some how it just became messy. good to get things cleared up

    A little e-club issue.

I apologize for being so haste in concluding that you guys were trying to praise airshot because zach wasn't "giving a damn" about the servers. I guess there isn't really much to argue about.. We're all doing stuff for the good of the community yeah? Airshot you should just message zach if you can help restore the servers stability.. For example by contributing money to pay for better bandwidth or machines. Actually I'm curious what does Airshot thinks the problem with Eclub servers is.. Was it something that u can fix with getting admin access? (this is a serious question)
  14. deadpris

    A little e-club issue.

I think you have said enough to show you know completely nothing about the e-club servers. Have you checked their bandwidth connections and physical connections for the past 2-3 years? If not... then... I think you're just saying all these for fun I think I have dropped enough hints to what gone wrong with the e-club servers' date=' if any of you still insists or thinks that it was because "no one gave a shit" then........ LOL IGNTS (wow I haven't used that in years!) [b']On "no one gives a damn"....[/b] btw, if you remember clearly... e-club was the first few servers that offered to change cfg and maps and everything for the running of AFL (well duh since they're both run by the same guy)... so I'm not sure why you want to accuse Zach of not wanting to use the e-club servers for anything at all. Someone gave a damn about the server for past 2-3 years and played a HUGE part to Asia's TF2 scene aka ASIAFORTRESS........ *slaps forehead* Zach is the LAST guy anyone in this damn community to be accused of "not giving a damn". Sorry if I'm getting a little defensive here... but I feel like waving at spammah and telling him "SEE I TOLD YOU NO ONE GIVES A SHIT WHAT PEOPLE DO FOR THE COMMUNITY" that kinda thing. and he would probably reply "I KNOW RIGHT" btw spammah was the guy heading 1 or 2 of the AFL seasons, incase you forgot about him already.
