  1. First of all, thanks for the answers.

For me, cl_interp affects mainly my sniper aim. I guess its the same as mm had said, it might not be actually my aim that has gone bad, but that it was always bad, but i sometimes get those lucky flick headshots.

Gotta keep that cl_interp constant to see actually how my aim is for other hitscans and projectiles are i guess :/

  2. From UGC HL news:

" - In an effort to have a more inclusive weapon list and to provide Valve with feedback on previously banned weapons we have decided to remove the following weapons from the ban list: The Enforcer, The Cleaner's Carbine, Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol and The Huo Long Heatmaker"

So becaz of this matchmaking thingy, op stuff gettin unbanned? I guess its somehow related?

  3. 2. Valve did an update and now you cannot change your interp unless you join spec/leave, so setting up an interp for each class is now useless

sheesh. how can I not notice that. *hits myself on the head*

but u can still change it in spec yeh?

Ty for answering though. Really appreciated the answers.

  4. Alright then, so I've been messing around with my cl_interp quite a bit recently, and I have a few basic questions to ask (cuz im a newb). So here it is:

    1. What does it change/do?
    2. How to set up an optimum cl_interp for each class?
    3. Will it affect your aiming and gameplay? Will your aim become inconsistent that way?
    4. Is it recommended to often change your cl_interp?
    5. Is it about the server your connected to? And how would you change your cl_interp in different servers?

The reason I asked these questions, is that I keep changing my cl_interp, hoping to get a better aim that way. Somehow, each time I open TF2, I can't aim with the previous cl_interp I used. For me, wierdly, I can aim better when I changed my cl_interp to another value. And then somehow, the next time I open TF2, I need yet another cl_interp to aim better.

I just feel strange to change the cl_interp everytime I open TF2. It might also be the reason that I have inconsistent aim, or the other way round, that I need to constantly change cl_interp as I have inconsistent aim.

These are the values I most commonly use:
    cl_interp 0.02
    cl_interp 0.034
    cl_interp 0.0134
    cl_interp 0

If I remember, I got the value cl_interp 0 from Fuzz.

Extra question: Whats interp ratio? How on earth is it related to the above cl_interp?

Thanks for taking your time reading this. And hopefully an early thank you for your answer.

    P.S. sorz for bad engleesh.

  5. the next UGC (United Gaming Clans) Highlander League will start accepting registrations on the 10th of June, so hurry find a team!

Isnt registrations up till 10th for Season 10 UGC Highlander ? and closed after that for new teams? But I believe that if your not creating a new team, you can still join the existing teams during the season.

I think youd better hurry crikenmaster. Better safe than sorry right?

Registrations on ugcleague.com for asia highlander league.

Hope to go against your highlander team in the future. :)

  6. the reason why these classes aren't being taught in AFA is because these are basic classes that you can practice on your own time. scout plays in pubs and competitive is very different. comp soldier vs pub soldier = different. basically the four main classes (scout soldier demo medic) have different playstyles compared to public play, and this is why you are only taught that in AFA.

reiterating my point, pyro heavy sniper spy and engineer have playstyles that are similar in competitive and pub play. while the usage might be different, the way they help the team out is the same

tl;dr go to pubs to practice utilities

    First, Ty for answering.

But I am curious that afa teaches about 6v6 metagame, and will it include when to change into utilities, while, as explained by you, the dm skillz can be trained by oneself. As im purely new to the 6v6 mindset, I just wonder if afa pugs allow offclassing to teach guys when to switch classes. Some guys are rather strict against such an act as it seems. Course, it doesnt create problems when the mentors say when is the best condition to offclass, while not changing the class in play, does it?

Also another question caused by my lack of experience in afa, is it like a pug where guys can ask for !sub in the pug or is it necessary for all players to remain the whole session, no matter how long it is?

    Ty once again.

  7. This might seem a stupid question, but since im new to afa, and wanted to train as scou (i.e. can change to utility classes if needed), im wondering will utility classes be taught in afa.... like when to use sniper, engi, spy etc. and the basic concept when playing such utility classes in 6s.

I asked this question as most ppl from afl are against offclassing, but i think suitable offclassing will cause great advantage to a certain team. Will AFA include such stuff?

I might be too farsighted, but do members of afa have the chance of changing class (e.g. scout to roamer) in a certain afa season? It seems the afa rules are strict about staying in one class, and learning the other by myself, but recently when i asked some people, they said that changing classes is allowed if the afa admin allowed to do so (no quotes to avoid flaming about whoever said it). On what conditions will such admins allow this act?

  8. Rmb to stay the same sens for every class

Well I am confused too cuz some classes seems to need a higher mouse sensitivity.....

My main is scout and i dun use a high sen, and when i try to play solly, i find myself alot harder to concentrate on the target, specially in a solly v solly duel. I am thinking of writing a script ,i.e. cfg of changing mouse sen in diff classes, when i crossed this thread.....

I really need more suggestions from older players i guess :/

  9. After joining for AsiaFortress for a few months and using the AFL servers quite regularly, I was pleased that these server provides the STV demo replay files for download, which should be in bakemono.servegame,org/demos/index.php

But recently, some of these useful replays seems to be missing in this website, either it is not recorded, not saved, or any other reason that might cause the problem.

This might not be a big problem at first, but when matches and leagues like UGC Highlander comes along,as the STV demo should be supplied by the main team if the admin requests for it.

Is there another way of retrieving such demo files, or is anything about the server?

    Thank you for your attention.

    Sincerely,

    Badaimer.

  10. Just an extra tip for aiming.

Try combining different methods, for example, strafing, circling, jump-shot, and loads and loads of different combos.

Also do not be overfocused on aiming. Evading is also important when playing scout.

Therefore, move unexpectedly, shoot with different combos, and as u practice more and reach the end of the basics stage, u can develop combat strategies of your own.

    Practice makes perfect.
