4. OWL7 Division 1 Top 4 Decider TONIGHT! Beta vs Spadebox LIVE at 11:00pm NZ Thats right tonight is the decider for the OWL7 Finals Top 4, syf still have a chance to make it into the top four but it will require Spadebox to lose tonight followed by a win against Beta next week, those are still good odds but the more likely candidates at this stage are Beta and Spadebox who will be going head to head tonight on Gullywash and Badlands in an epic match up. Beta has performed extremely well this season with some impressive games even though they have faced super sluts on multiple occasions while Spadebox started off slightly below expectations, but that got thrown out the window completely with an amazing game against BOB in Round 3 and as you can see they are now going head to head to try and secure a spot in the finals. GreaverTV will be covering the match tonight in glorius 4mb/s 720p so if a live stream is your thing you can find deets below, but if you prefer to watch in STV and listen to the cast sync'd in mumble you can do that as well because those deets are below too. This game has a lot riding on it so I grabbed Spitty and Realmy from Beta and the one and only Puddy from Spadebox for an interview to find out how each team is feeling going into this match. ESEA Invite LAN Coverage

ESEA Invite LAN Coverage wow - That pretty much sums up the LAN, it was amazing, upsets and comebacks ahoy were the meat of the LAN with huge plays and epic clutches throughout. I spent over 14 hours straight casting on the Sunday from 4am to 6pm and another 7 hours Monday morning, and I have never been privy to such exciting gameplay in all the time I played and casted TF2. I simply collapsed on my bed afterwards and waiting for the caffeine crash I knew was coming to hit me with the biggest grin still plastered on my face from watching all this unfold. Below you will find the Lower Bracket, Upper Bracket and Grand Final matches as casted by cbear, Sigma and Bloodsire on the eXtelevision stream - if you want to check out the VODs from official ESEA TF2 stream featuring myself, eXtine and Greg from Infused you can find them on twitch.tv/esea_orange Grand Finals - First best of three Grand Finals - Second best of three Upper Bracket Finals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWIF7EzyScc Lower Bracket Finals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGTrIqLFYT8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0_gj0Zp14g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6L73_wWzY64 Lower Bracket Games http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_fUV-G1Ya8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CyTtTLVsR0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3hgnL1kCjU When the rest of the VODs get uploaded I will add them - but all the important matches are above -----
11. Welcome to Greaver vs The News for this week. I was holding out to do a decent write up of ESEA Invite LAN with enough VODs to choke a small animal but unfortunately there was a LOT of VODs to upload so here I am a week later. Anyway there has been plenty of action this week so I'll get into it. I recently came across a couple of lovely ladies from South Africa on my internet travels and soon got to talking. Turns out Lola and Lolita run 16bit.co.za - a TF2 community site dedicated to running fun TF2 competitions in South Africa and they are running their very own Kritzkast Lo-Fi Offclass Cup very shortly. GreaverTV will be providing coverage of the event and they already have a bunch of teams signed up and if I might say so they have an extremely interesting map pool so I look forward to seeing their take on KLOC. Asia Fortress has the Merc Cup on this month and next, registrations just closed and the tournament is kicking off now with casting coverage of the top games by GreaverTV - if you want to check it out head on over to Asiafortress and check it out ----- ozfortress News OWL7 has been cranking along with tight games in all 6 divisions producing exciting games - I am not even going to try and cover everything here but below you will find my match of the week and links to the current point tables. Greaver Decides: BOB vs Spadebox This game was HUGE - easily the best game so far this season in division 1 from a spectators point of view with exciting action on both maps and a relatively tight score line to boot. VOD Incoming - Youtube is playing up Results for Round 3 iM vs SQL | 5-1 5-0 Draw BOB VS Spadebox | 5-2 4-3 to BOB th vs Beta | 3-0 4-1 Beta vR vs SYF | 5-2 5-0 SYF ----- NZFortress News For the last couple of months NZFortress has been busy with the Fresh Meat League which was a competition designed to take players from the pubs that had never played competitively, give them a mentor, then the mentors would battle them like Pokemon to find the best noob team and finally the best mentor in NZ. We just had the 3rd and 4th place finals along with the Grand final and you can find the awesome VODs below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4TRiCylbKU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYiV0Ry7stI Look out for a thread dedicated to the ESEA LAN VODs tomorrow ----- Click here to view the article

17. Welcome to Greaver vs The News for this week. There has been some awesome action this week including some awesome ESEA Intermediate and Open games, more epic Premiership action from ETF2L and of course Respawn LAN for those who braved Melbourne so check it out below. Respawn LAN took place this weekend at the Latrobe University in Melbourne and saw a sizeable ozfortress contingent set up for the weekend and jump into some epic LAN action. Stand out teams included both Tom+5 and Inversion Therapy - GreaverTV was all set up to cover the matches live and we get did bits and pieces covered but unfortunately the TF2 side was plauged by network issues which were later determined to be in part the result of a dieing piece of network equipment, a post produced cast of the Grand Finals will be available in the next two days on GreaverTV. I'd like to give a big shoutout to everyone who attended, especially the ozfortress admin team who spent a large part of the LAN trying to get things working. ----- ozfortress News We are only a week away from the release of the OWL7 Sign ups thread so get your teams in order and start locking in your rosters people because we are almost ready to lock and load. Don't have a team yet? Check out this forum Don't get caught without backups because noone likes to forfeit - check out this forum. Highlander is getting to the really exciting portion of the competition so check out Tony's run down on what's coming up and keep an eye out for some epic Live Highlander action! "With Fray winning their playoff decider last night and AGDI narrowly edging out Duf for the honour of second place in Group A, we're now on to the playoff stage. The teams going through to the knockout stage are: Earth Defence Force E-Weasel Gaming GTSOM vR Hoobastank Fanclub Occupied Fray AGDI For the remaining 10 teams, we have a format of 3 matches a week, with 1 map per match. This ensures each team will play eachother, while keeping it within the same time boundry as the upper bracket. We'll have the matches ups for single elimination and round robin up either tonight, or tomorrow morning. The maps for the next round are: pl_badwater koth_ashville_rc1 cp_yukon_final You'll find the matches for each bracket here: Upper Bracket || Lower Bracket You can also look at how the upper bracket is currently progressing here." OZFL this week saw dk stomp DialUp gaming with a 5:1 victory while SQL delivered a solid 5:2 victory over GTSOM Round 72 - TITLE MATCH: iM defeats vR via 5:0 Round 73 - TITLE SHOT: lotb defeats Untitled 5:4 This week we covered plenty of games so buckle in and check em' out - I will make a thread in the next few days but just a heads up that I will cover everything you chuck at me from ozfl, OWL7 and the Highlander league so get at me people because demos break monthly, casts are forever <3 2166 are a newer team in OZFL who approached me recently about having a couple of their games casted - the clanleader is a bona fidé GC so I jumped on them immediately and managed to enlist both Comedian from VanillaTV and Agro from Kritzkast to cover their Gravel Pit match so catch that below I also had the pleasure of interviewing Havoc MD, 2166 clan leader about their clan and their experience in ozfotress so far so check that interview out below. I also had some highlander games lined up to do live this week but had some PC issues - shoutout to Seeker for helping me sort my machine out, I am sure the ministry of education is going to turn up any moment and take my IT certs off me but in the meantime I will try and get that awesome Fray vs GTSOM game casted because apparently it was crazy. ----- ESEA Intermediate and Open League Playoffs This week has seen some simply awesome games in the Intermediate division with Laser Beams securing a finals position with an extremely tight win over Washed Up gaming (first VOD below). Dinosaurs rolled Xenity 5-1 which wasn't entirely expected while Leviathan Gaming cut it far closer than expected with a 5:2 victory over Beybladers. Check out Immolations excellent weekly news post where he aggregates up and coming games for many different leagues and regions - its a great way to identify the big games coming your way ESEA VODs And ofcourse make sure you check out this weeks edition of eXtravision - the recently launched eXtv show that covers all sorts of major TF2 news. There is ozfortress news this week so make sure you check it out. ----- ETF2L Season 11 Kicks Off As you can imagine the premier division in ETF2L is as epic as we expected and there have been some huge games so far this season - I am working on an in-depth write up and hopefully an interview soon but in the meantime check out the top game from this week and the current standings. 19. asiafortress preface - Hi everyone I'm Greaver and I do a weekly news segment for ozfortress and nzfortress, I will be cross posting it here for those who find it interesting and while it is aimed at the ozfortress community there should be plenty of interesting news for everyone so chuck me some feedback below. The Sydney Gamers League held SGL6 LAN this weekend at the Rosehill Gardens Exhibition Center which provided a 4000 square meter air conditioned complex for hundreds of gamers to invade. ozfortress was out in force with multiple teams signing up for some tight lan action culminating in an epic grand final, you can catch the live casts courtesy of Gamestah here and there will be high-def post produced VoDs available on GreaverTV in the coming days for those who couldn't attend. --- Kritzkast has taken an active interest in Australasian TF2 lately and our very own wm spent more an hour being interviewed by our friends at Kritzkast last week. During the interview they covered all sorts of topics applicable to Australasian TF2 in general and spent a long time talking about ozfortress itself and the role it plays both in Australasia and the international stage - it is an extremely interesting interview with many a laugh too so make sure you check it out. Shoutout to wm for stepping up for an interview with a news show that gets up to 20,000 views each week! Check out the link below where you can stream or download the interview wm on Kritzkast! --- Gamers United pushed the envelope this past weekend with a trans-tasman competition that pitted New Zealand and Australias best pub stars against each other for the right to call themselves the dominant TF2 nation. Featuring a mixture of current, once loved and down right crazy game types this is one to watch so check out the format and the VODs below and if haven't already head on over to Gamers United and check out their community. Asiafortress has just recently finished up their fifth asiafortress league with epic action in both divisions making for awesome grand finals. Before that though eXtv hosted a New Map eXhibition match this week on cp_standin_b9 and cp_croissant_b10 with top level and generally GC Intermediate teams Mayhem and BeyBladers duking it out and joining myself, shadowpuppet and map creators Scorpiouprising and Arnold respectively for prematch and post match thoughts about the maps.
