i agree with that totally. if you're being taken advantage of you should just stop helping them rather than being a bitch to them imo. but i can think of many instance sof people trying to help being taken advantage of. wow i really should get tf2 now. all hail the king

to whoever has been treated shittily when they were noobs and then became pro or whatever now, if you've been treated like shit and felt bad about it, you could probably understand the plight of the guys who you're bullying right? why would you want to put them through that if its now in your hands to decide how these new guys are treated? cause that's pretty stupid and not great for the community.

Guess I agree with most of what you say. I had a lot of chat logs that basically showed what I meant by newbies sucking up to older players. I'll post it when I'm back home, though I probably will forget by then. Kind of what I was trying to get at but not exactly. Also guess that's true, but doesn't encompass what I'm trying to point out fully. So what I mean by sucking up is how they jump ship when a veteran takes a side. I'll bookmark this thread so hopefully I remember to show you'll some chatlogs that are pretty funny if you can appreciate what I'm trying to point out. Also my wrist hurts waving the white flag so hard so I'll stop typing now. Damn that post took long.

Ok so I'm back after a while and this steam pipe crap isn't letting me use my comp cfg. So I did whatever I found online like putting it in custom and stuff. My HUD works but my comp cfg doesn't. Apparently commands like "class_attack1" and "weapon1" don't work anymore cause my console says unknown command: "+class_attack1" "-class_attack1" when I left click. Anyone have this same problem? Have the commands changed post steam pipe? Thanks.

MGE is pretty insignificant. It can help at times in pickups, but if you want to be a truly good soldier, practicing in pickups and scrims is far more important than MGE. Cheese, for example, from the azn tf2 scene was pretty terrible at MGE, but he was easily one of the best in azn tf2. There was another guy from hong kong who was a beast soldier and was pretty average at MGE - so yeah.

I disagree, its much more than a game. I play for over 100 hours every two weeks, which means it takes up a large part of my life. Which is why I'm getting so emotional about it! I'm your average no-life gamer - I can't help but get annoyed when this happens.
