    You might need to put -autoconfig in set launch options try that

    um if you are recording it then it will look slow because it is taking screenshots every second eg. if you are recording at 240 fps it takes 240 screenshots every second

    so it is slow 240 is huge right and you might not hear anything

    after you render it out in vdub the clip might be laggy because of the filezie

    after you render the clip out in sony vegas or something it should be fine

    and if you have recorded it into direct avi and if the file size is more than 2 gb the file will be corrupt definetly.. so use tgas convert into movie in vdub use sony vegas to render it out

    I USE THE LAGARITH lossless codec try googling it...

    and um we should lower the tv delay 90 is default but a bit less would've been better

    i highly recommend while the people are inside the source tv use cl_interp .1 since the tv delay is high ^^ but the higher the delay the smoother the footage....

    For those who cannot manage to run pldx tool due to less monitor res lesser than 1280 X 720 (like me )this is a tool you can check out....

    download all the files place them in tf/cfg folder and modify a few settings in the remix movie cfg basically the multi-core processing and stuff...

    Every time you start make you sure if you have a scripts folder in tf you make a backup of it and replace the scripts files with the ones in the tf movie scripts folder in tf/cfg and if any command in autoexec ... just copy and put it into a new text document or just remove the exec from the folder after you have done that put a -autoconfig in the tf2 set launch options run the game might be a bit slow due to -autoconfig. Now type "exec movie" (without quotes) in console and you should see a big menu in console now load your demo... look for the tick and select a fps to record with generally 240 looks very good.. now if you want to record the files to avi's then press f5 or if you want to record them to tga's then press f6 to stop press f8, it might look buggy and slow without sound dont worry its normal if you use avi you cant record footage more than 2gb (remember the files are uncompressed so the file size is big) if you record them to tga's you can record long streaks and kills which most of the people prefer to use) ,after you've recorded the tgas you need virtual dub. Remember to put your tf2 scripts and autoexec back to work and remove the -autoconfig...

    http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ now you can convert the screenshots to a video... put the same fps in the frame rate option and select a codec i prefer lagarith lossless codec... and select the audio file and as you have a monitor with resolution less than 1280X720 youtube would put black borders so just go to video options > filters > add re size > change the aspect ratio to custom and make it 16:9 and select the resolution as 1280 and let it calculate the other one. After that you need to put 1280 and 720 in letterbox and crop option just below and hit okay and then add the filter and save it to avi.
