Wow, I wasn't expecting this kind of response! I'd say not including, time spent in customs, travelling to my hotel and sleeping I'd have about 8-9 hours free? (I arrive in Singapore at 7pm and leave 8pm the following day) I probably should have mentioned I'm not big on sea food but at the same time I LOVE asian food! Also I don't want to do universal studios as I went to both of them in the US a couple of months ago and I'd rather do something cultural in Singapore rather than American. Shopping sounds good, are there any places that sell cheap pc hardware (cheaper than NZ AUS)? This will be the first time in a foreign country where I will be completely by myself so I will be like a scared/lost puppy.. Thanks for all the suggestions!!

Hey, I'm a New Zealander from nzfortress and ozfortress and I'll be passing through Singapore in July. Are there any/many Singaporian residents who use these forums? If so, I'm spending only one day in Singapore but wanting to do something whilst I'm there, not just sit in the hotel! So are there any must do's that I could do to keep me occupied for a few hours? Certain foods to try and places to see etc? (I don't really care about the cost) And is there anything I should watch out for or things I shouldn't do? Even if you don't live there but have been there before you can obviously answer some of these questions as well! If you don't wan't to post here you can PM me or w/e.. Thanks heaps!
