  1. Parachute at the expense of pipes with the sticky ramp up damage?

I didn't know demo had a parachute. I was speaking of the soldier's parachute.

Edit: I was talking about the soldier's base jumper, not the demo's, sorry my fault, I didn't see that you were talking about the demo's and I do agree that it has little benefit to the demo with the sticky nerf. What I do think it is for the demo is a wee booties replacement since the new shield has such great mobility, it provides a z-axis for the demo to explore as well (Yes, it is gimmicky for the demo).

  2. TBH, I think this is not the end for demoman as a competitive class, but rather a role switch. If the new shield is allowed, it will really change how demo is played, making it a roamer with higher damage output and a good chance of really devastating the enemy by picking off the medic.

Kritz will be used as a pocket soldier's tool to 400dpm or boosting damage of the new rocket launcher which may become popular among roamers.

Conga lines are a novelty, it will stop sooner or later.

The new rocket launcher and parachute may prove effective in roaming better. I actually disagree with summer's point about the base jumper being gimmicky. It may seem that way at first but it can be used to avoid airshots by messing up the jump trajectory and provides more time for the soldier to rain down rockets with the new rocket launcher.

But I'm not good enough to actually prove my theories and I've quit playing TF2 seriously anyways.

  3. It is not about the appeals. It is about the ban system itself. The current ban system is stupid. The admins here in AsiaFortress is like dictators and they do not respect player rights. Give them a warning. Don't just ban them right away. If they deserved the permanent ban, they won't appeal the ban. It's just a waste of time of both players and admins. Wasting players time to write up their appeals for leaving before sub. Wasting admin's time to read and remove the ban. And when new comers got banned, they just leave.

If the admins keep issuing warnings, won't that be a waste of time because they have to track each and every warning?

They might as well issue a ban and if the player doesn't come back, it pretty much means that they did not bother to come to the forum to appeal their ban. What does this tell us about the player? He/She probably doesn't care enough about pugging and wouldn't continue to play competitive if any setback came their way. I think the admins want to drill the rules into people because if you tell them nicely, sometimes they think that they can just get these empty warnings with no bans coming their way.

The admins want to grow the community, but that doesn't mean that they would allow some guy to come in and break rules, then get a warning right before breaking them again. If they can't deal with problems like these, I don't think they can deal with the problems that they would face going down this path.

The community isn't going to change just to suit 1 person, that person has to change to suit the community.
