AsiaFortress Cup 12 Team Disqualification [Rules] [Unlocks] [Division Administrators] [Registration] [Key Dates and Map Pool] [Discussion] [Team Directory] [Demo Uploads] [Server Bookings] [Match Threads] [Cast Requests] [Ban List] It has recently come to light that team Kweebs has been utilizing a smurf account of a banned player. Evidence l0203006.log:L 02/03/2017 - 23:15:27: "teehee<433><[U:1:139041873]><>" connected, address "125.212.xxx.xx:42407" l0723049.log:L 07/23/2017 - 20:26:26: "Spongebutt<219><[U:1:155077433]><>" connected, address "125.212.xxx.xx:36923" Player ‘teehee’ was banned from AsiaFortress League participation for one season due to smurfing in Division 3 while participating in Division 2. Matching IPs between players ‘teehee’ and ‘Spongebutt’ were found, indicating that both are the same player. Sentence Player ‘teehee’ received a league ban for 1 season and has failed to follow his sentence. Therefore, his ban has been extended to 2 seasons (until AFC14). Furthermore, Kweebs has been utilising the smurf of a player banned from league participation, and will therefore have to be disqualified from the competition, overturning all of their matches to their opponents. Finally, team leader “Rustic” has been suspended from captaining for 1 season (until AFC14). In summary: Kweebs has been disqualified. Team leader of Kweebs, “Rustic” suspended from captaining for 1 season. ‘teehee’ ban extended to 2 seasons. Matches overturned Conclusion The administrators would like to remind bans and suspensions meted out by the team are to be taken seriously, and that circumventing them will lead to further consequence. Furthermore, the team would like to remind all captains and participants that it is your responsibility to ensure that players picked up are not of a shady or problematic nature, lest it affect the team in league competitions.

Banner by concor, write-up by vetia It has recently come to light that team International Justice League Of Super Acquaintances (JLOSA) has been utilising smurf accounts from Division 2 in order to achieve an unfair advantage over their opponents (namely Team Technical Difficulties). Evidence 95 "JLOSA.BoyBluee #afc11 #hype" [U:1:377005117] 14:27 75 0 active 116.100.242.xxx:27005 105 "JLOSA. rouen ✿" [U:1:381041051] 14:27 87 0 active 120.29.117.xx:1131 44 "teePUG" [U:1:139041873] 12:38 81 0 active 116.100.242.xxx:27005 47 "acerPUG" [U:1:107398911] 07:13 112 0 active 120.29.117.xx:27005 As demonstrated above, registered player 'Teehee' shares a similar IP to registered player 'BoyBluee', and registered player 'acervus' shares a similar IP to registered player 'rouen'; evidence of using multiple accounts to participate in competitions across divisions. Sentence As stated in 6D, smurfing and use of alternative accounts in multiple teams is against the rules, and warrants the disqualification of JLOSA from the competition. The match of TDI vs JLOSA shall be turned over, with JLOSA disqualified and TDI moved back into the lower bracket finals. The accounts of 'rouen' and 'BoyBluee' have been banned for the period of 1 season, and JLOSA's team leaders shall be suspended from captaining permanently, as well as banned for the period of 1 season. Furthermore, due to the dual participation of members, the team of The Mighty Gibuses has had its two players disqualified from the roster, with acervus and teehee banned for the period of 1 season. TMG shall continue to participate in Division 2 in the light of its members not being involved in the smurfing. In summary: JLOSA has been disqualified Team leader(s) of JLOSA suspended permanently from captaining + banned 1 season 'rouen' and 'BoyBluee' banned 1 season 'acervus' and 'teehee' banned 1 season TMG unaffected Match overturned for TDI Conclusion The administrators would like to remind that all AsiaFortress Cup 11 Participants are subject to the rules, and must follow them in order to maintain the fun and fairness of the competition for all parties.

Ahh, HBZB and p00t1s; two evenly matched teams from different continents struggling not to be knocked out. It was an intensive match between the perceived underdogs of the playoff season, and lead to two of the closest maps in the season, though both were on completely different ends of the spectrum when it came to pure action. Maps played were cp_sunshine (in Hatena, Japan) and cp_snakewater (in AFL, Singapore), now classics in the TF2 map pool. Pregame I only have insight to pregame for p00t1s because most of them are on my friendslist. Scrambling for players at the last second before having the main turn up anyway, not having scrimmed since after getting knocked into the lower brackets, an overall aura of defeatism and unconfidence; not exactly the most victory-inspiring aura going into the match. HBZB were into the server long before p00t1s, but they (probably) were far from confident, having lost close matches to p00t1s previously. In addition, they'd been rolled by the revitalized Xiao roster (shoutout to teejay), and most of their stakes were on this match to not get slammed from the competition entirely. Rosters HBZB Scout: ozr Scout: LK Soldier: Hwain Soldier: daylight Demo: starky Medic: kalpushy14 P00t1s Scout: fwishy Scout: oro Soldier: hirasagi Soldier: chongy Demo: shinka Medic: iMauriceiNoob Sunshine One of the most fast paced games I'd ever had the opportunity to watch; it was just each team picking up rounds after their opponents had come out strong. HBZB and p00t1s basically traded round after round before P00t1s managed to clinch the final point in the last 40 seconds, pulling a good mid out of their hat. HBZB and p00t1s shared this in common; they apparently hated offclassing; the only offclasses we saw all map were at last, with HBZB running engineer or fwishy running heavy. The core of the game was: P00t1s' mids were complete shit, but all of HBZB's ubers were pretty much the same thing. On middles, shinka kept taking massive damage before the fights even started fullswing, and starky just seemed to be getting the better of him all the time. Without that demo presence to control scouts, Hwain and daylight's coordinated soldier bombs are just that much more effective. However, HBZB's ubers are just cringey; if they don't force out an uber from the enemy first, they're basically always pushing poor positions with a singular soldier. I don't know what it is, but HBZB seems to have a lot of faith in the Hwain bomb, sending him in with uber first to open things up. It always ended up poorly though; there were hardly any uber trades that ended in HBZB's favour. Then you have fwishy and oro, who seemed to be outclassing ozr in the DM fights. While hira and chongy play more controlled and 'slow' styles, fwishy and oro are roaming scouts at heart, and their push-pull mechanic was beautifully in-sync at critical moments in the game, clinching out rounds for their team and securing points with supreme prejudice. Both teams seemed to collapse when it came to post fights though, perhaps lacking decisive maincallers to pull teams out of bad situations. The reason the game was so fast paced on this map was because players kept taking risks and getting caught out, initiating a domino effect where because someone was caught out, another person gets trapped trying to save him and dies, forcing the rest of their team backwards before someone else screws up again - so on and so forth. Furthermore, neither wanted to play more reservedly once the ball was rolling, and HBZB started taking fights and trades they really shouldn't have; like, neither team wanted to grind out an uber ad at all. I still don't think p00t1s really deserved to win sunshine, but shinka landed some MASSIVE damage at that final mid and fwishy just ran in and cleaned up. HBZB, caught off guard, couldn't get out fast enough and were just rolled all the way to last. Snakewater Seriously, screw this map. If boring had a name, it would be HBZB vs p00t1s on snakebloodywater. Both teams played the most passive games of their lives, and I ended up having to cast this shit. This is an example of tiebreaker tension taken to the extreme, where both teams settled in comfortable positions and started jerking off because neither wanted to make the first move, for fear of making the first mistake. Seven minutes of nothing before a singular uber trade that ends up putting both teams in the same position anyway, and then three minutes of CCTV footage as fwishy tries to find someone to backstab from the HBZB players, who are all playing atop the shack. Seriously though, why would you not push when you have mid and you lost the previous map? What I learned was that HBZB either play too passively or too aggressively, and can't seem to find the inbetween. Every time they picked out small advantages to push they didn't, and whenever it was a critical moment where the fight could turn against them, it did. I don't know if it's the DM of their players or poor coordination, but HBZB were just terrible at teamfights in general, and p00t1s had hira who could play the uber game much better than the HBZB. Honestly, p00t1s should have won Snakewater so much more convincingly; HBZB had bad ubers, bad pushes and bad teamfights, but apparently their opponents couldn't seem to make the better of those situations. I would argue that HBZB started playing more passively to make up for those mistakes, identifying that the less opportunity they had to do something dumb, the less it would happen. In turn, p00t1s did the same. And that's how the map ended up being forty minutes long (with the golden cap included), with the first round being picked up at 8 minutes left. [ResidentSleeper] In the end, I'll just pin p00t1s' victory to fwishy and hira. Fwishy made all the plays necessary to break stalemates for his team, and hira won almost every single uber trade he took, plying out bad positions and flashing from kalpushy14. Mad props to Chongy for some direct hit streaks though. Conclusion Nothing much to say except: how does a game go from being so back & forth, brimming with action and packed with excitement, to one of the best sleep-inducing matches I've ever watched? Well, take two teams who are extremely momentum based - one that is unconfident in itself and the other with full confidence in its defensive playstyle; have the latter one lose by a hair, and apparently, you'll make vetia want to die watching a spy creep around for three bloody minutes.

AsiaFortress Cup 14: Ruleset Changes (The banner says 13) Greetings, gamers! The official announcement of the next AsiaFortress season is yet to come as we still have some details to work out, but there are some changes that we've made to the rules in hopes of improving player experience, and we'll be sharing these changes with you so that we can get your feedback. First of all, we understand that one of the main complaints that has been arising for the past few seasons has been about the seeding of teams, such as the placing of Ayam Penyet into AFC13 Division 3 (lost their first match of the season) and allowing certain players into Excitement Beneficiaries (did not finish first place). As such, we've decided to implement a more objective measurement of skill into our league. Teams will no longer need to specify their preferred division on registration, and instead they will be sorted into divisions based on the average MGE Elo of their best 5 MGE players. Hopefully, as an unbiased, objective, mathematical measure of skill, this will allow for the best possible balance between divisions. Next, we've also noticed a sharp rise in teams using Discord over Mumble for voice communication. While we understand that Discord provides many attractive features such as the ability for weebs to endlessly post images of their waifu in every channel and the ability to add seventeen variations of the  emoji to your server, we'd like people to note that it brings with it many disadvantages as well, such as the reliance on Discord's servers being up, the relatively high CPU usage, and most importantly, Head Administrator fwishy is slightly lower in volume on Discord. As such, we've decided to implement a new rule for the upcoming AsiaFortress Cup — all teams must have a dedicated Mumble channel or personal server which must be used for all official AsiaFortress matches. As proof, teams are to use the Record feature in Mumble and must submit logs when asked. Failure to comply by this rule will result in matches being overturned. We'd love to hear your opinions on our new changes, and look forward to seeing you next season! EDIT: jk lamo

Hi I'm new to Competitive. I've played my 4000hours in trade servers And saxton hale. I'm thinking of Maining engineer or heavy in 6s. I've been mentored by rising from ozfort and also ifun who people claims he is fucking cancer and huge meme but I think he is one of the best pocket soldiers in Asia scene. I've seen him play pocket for div3 BRG. So motivating. He is my role model and mentor, along with rising. I watched him play a Shana Pug and carried my team with ENGIE. He got a 5k with level3 and that to me is one of the sickest plays of my whole tf2 career. I hope I could join any Prem or division 1 team. Teejay's team seems very poor in my opinion. I strongly feel that he is rigging this whole tournament because he is also the head admin and one of the leading organisers for this afc . And he seems like a noob I rekt him in mge before. I don't see why everyone is so scared of him. Hence I will not join his team even if I got offered :). I hope Lerl would pick me up. <3
