Colorfusion 1 Report post Posted January 19, 2014 Hello, I've been playing TF2 for 2 years now, I'm looking for a mentor to rope me in into competitive tf2 gaming as normal servers with 12 v 12 is really not my cup of tea nowadays. I've never played pug / 6v6 / highlanders before as I don't really know where and how to join one. I play scout mostly but still can play other classes even though I'm really bad at rocket jumping / sticky jumping. I'm currently in NS so my playing times is only in the weekends, but if you are willing to mentor me, add me up and I'll try my best to learn as much as possible from you in competitive tf2. First you need to have a few things: Read up on a few guides like these and you can start http://asiafortress.com/index.php/index.html/_/news/getting-started-in-competitive-tf2-a-complete-r40 http://asiafortress.com/forums/index.php?/tutorials/article/10-guide-to-the-asiafortress-pug-mod/ If you take the time to dig up some guides from the forum archives, I'm sure you can learn a lot from them. The PUG servers can be found on this group http://steamcommunity.com/groups/asiafortpug So after you PUG for a bit and you meet the requirements, you may want to get access to the group itself, giving you access to servers #1-#3 (If you don't join the group, you can only join server #4). Your first PUG may be rough (Walao, this medic/soldier/demo/scout dunno how to TF2), but don't let that deter you as you will learn as you PUG more. Soon, you will make some friends and maybe join a team where you can scrim against other teams to improve. This is my experience at Asiafortress and will differ from others'.
