AFC7: Demo Submission

Recommended Posts

XTklWUI.png

As of 26 June 2013, all participants of Asiafortress Cup 7 have to submit their demos after each match. Demos can be recorded either through P-REC or manual recording through the TF2 client. SourceTV demos are optional, but if available, it is preferable that you submit the STV demo along with the demos of your team members.

To submit a demo, please follow the instructions below.

1. Go to your TF2 folder Program Files/(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Team Fortress 2\tf for PC users and /Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/Common/Team Fortress2 2/tf for Mac users.

2. Ensure your P-REC settings are such that it will record your demos into a subfolder. For me, it was \tf\demos.

3. Select the demo that was recorded, and rename it such that:

Division_Round_TeamName_Player_Opponent_Map_Type

An example would be:

2_6_TeamInA_Lexxy_PRWF_process_POV

Variables:

Division: 1 to 3.

Round: 1 to 10.

TeamName: Acronym or abbreviation.

Player: Player's registered name.

Opponent: Opponent's acronym or abbreviation.

Map: Map name (without cp/koth or rc1/rc3/rc4).

Type: POV or STV.

4. After renaming your demo file, convert the file into a .zip or .7zip file if not the uploader will not accept it.

5. Go to: http://asiafortress.mooo.com/up/ and upload the renamed and converted demo file. Watch for the progress bar as it will say 'Completed' before disappearing.

6. (Additional) If you have any amazing frags or deaths, please submit the ticks to this thread: http://asiafortress.com/forum/index.php?/topic/2971-afc7-ticks/

There are a few notes regarding this rule.

1. If player is experiencing a glitch with player models turning invisible and has to stop recording, said player has to resume recording of his/her demo manually via the console.

2. If a player is playing on a Mac, said player has to record his/her demo manually via the console as P-REC is not available for Mac yet.

3. No player is exempt from this rule.

4. Any players who do not upload their demos after a week from the match round concluding, said player's team will have that round forfeited regardless of win or loss.
