The routing is pretty inconsistent... Yesterday and the day before i was pinging <30 to the local servers, and about 80 to WA which was amazing... but today it's back to 60 ping to local servers and 200 to WA :( :(

 

Hopefully you guys can fix the routing for this server asap

Cheers for the feedback, positive / negative / crashes it all helps.

 

Basically there are issues with the steam master servers, bad routing, older SM build equalled a nightmare.

 

Things appear to be better now, I'm keeping a eye on things.

 

We are also testing something new called Boss Battles, which is like a Vs Saxton Hale Plus game mode.

 

- There are no special models

- No additional downloads

- Works on all maps

- Less Glitchy

 

One more difference between this and VSH is that because the rest of the server can respawn, the boss can't really win. So instead of just having the bosses continuously lose for no purpose, there's a record for amount of kills without dying that each boss can aim to beat. (Record reset upon server/plugin reload)

A question for the community,

 

Someone indirectly mentioned on the Steam forums, that the Asian player base prefer standard spawn opposed to Instant respawn?

 

We have no problems changing a few of the instant spawn to standard,

 

After all, we are here to please and make your experience a pleasant one.

Well, the Starhub servers(which have basically been around longest, I think) have always been standard respawn times, so I'd say that most people who played before the newer servers that have come up(Lowyat, Agentcy, GamersUN, etc) are fairly used to standard respawn times.

 

Personally, I don't like instaspawn myself.

standard spawn is more balanced

takes more than a few really good players to advance past sentry fortresses on the second point , especially dustbowl because those engineers spawn like crazy :S

Yeah, instaspawn really kills the whole flow of the game, specially cp objective-oriented maps. Please take it off.

 

Not sure if anything can be done for me since I'm situated in the United Arab Emirates but would your GSP be able to look into the high pings I'm getting?

I have made a extra 2fort and Dustbowl standard spawn times. Lets see how it goes.

Thanks for the feedback, see above. Few more servers now standard spawn.

 

Also I'll see what I can do re routing - the tracert helps heaps.

Just heard back,

 

Most middle eastern countries only have good connection to Europe.

 

You pick up our internal network on hop 8, so unfortunately it is unlikely that it can be improved.

Bit of a update people,

 

Replay lately has been super super glitchy, currently disabling it on the servers to prevent crashes.

Invisible people happens if you alt tab alot, I would recommend you start tf2 with the -novid -window -noborder start parameters. That should fix that problem for you.

 

Replay is currently disabled till valve fix it, 90% of the crashes have been replay issues. The console occasionally hangs on a replay error.

 

We will be adding many many many many more servers soon :)
