Firedragoner 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2011 Beginning with competitive, but TF2 always crashes after a while, 10 - 20 minutes, so I never actually get to play at all since I'm always waiting for a new round. I know this is probably because of the Manniversary Update, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop it from crashing so much?

FredKillar 1 Report post Posted December 11, 2011 Why don't you try to defrag ur game files first.... If cannot den try verify... if cannot delete the client and content .gcf things in ur steamapps folder..... if still cannot delete the whole tf2 and reinstall... If cannot den u go get a new internet/com..... still can't? Give tf2 up..... (Last sentence is a joke ar....)

yuki 1 Report post Posted December 13, 2011 Try testing ram sticks with memtest (here: http://www.memtest.org/) Try both, if fail after a while take one out, if that fails take that out put other one in, rinse and repeat. 95% of crashes with games (especially TF2) are to do with faulty/broken RAM sticks
Firedragoner 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2011 or maybe my ram isn't enough...its a pretty crappy laptop o and the url didnt work

DarKie 15 Report post Posted December 15, 2011 why dont you just bring this to steam support? i'm pretty sure they are more then capable of at least identifying your problem remember to grab a msinfo32 report and attach it to your thread in steam support
