This is great publicity for AF Hopefully it'll help us rope in more players and grow the community. But it disappoints me that he doesn't seem very excited when announcing it. D: Or maybe it's just his style. o.o

I feel that in all honesty the skill gap between players is pretty large in AF. o.o And the community is pretty exclusive. Additional psychological effect on the players interested in trying out comp scene, deterring them. Nonetheless, I think the idea of an amateur cup is great. If the timing of the competition (some new players are not ready to commit all their time) and other stuff are settled, and publicity is done successfully (really entice players, scout for pubstars who are interested in trying out comp), I do not see why we won't have 8 teams. Or more. .__. I think ultimately more can be done to attract new players and grow the community. Our community is undeniably small. D:

Stalk him on steam... 48.3 hours of scout on record. Spends his time doing gameplay vids with his gang. And he has lots of steam rep for trading. .___. Can't be that unfriendly can he? Probably just a one off thing.

Agreed, spy is very situational in competitive play owing to the organisation and communication of teams. I would suppose it would be less of running around in a disguise, like in pubs, and more of picking the right moment to stab a key opponent, eg. medic. Haven't seen many spy plays in competitive matches, but usually its when the opponent is disorganized, such as when they're regrouping after a failed push for the last cp for example. I guess the above info is pretty obvious and my presence in this thread is pretty unnecessary

Mumble isn't hard to set up But I have spent lots of time trying to get it to work properly. (Like my voice is always soft :/ or screeches) Could be that it's just me and my sheer stupidity. In any case, do get a mic. Then follow the set up instructions. They're easy. If you don't have a mic or headset, there are some pretty decent ones in the market. Range from 10-30 or so bucks if I'm not wrong, based on design and the quality of mic. Unless of course, you're looking into those really pro ones that I can never afford. On a relatively unrelated side note, might I humbly inquire what Skill level/Division this recruitment thread desires?

Yes, if you could make a random crit server for Orange as well that would be great Thank you.
